Lectures
this week, we have a face to face class where mr. Fauzi explains about
the upcoming projects that we need to do. first is the double exposure
where we do exercise and practice it on our own photos and the second
one is a collaboration poster between Digital Photography and Imaging
class and the Illustration and Visual Narrative class. other than that,
he also clarifies about the e-portofolio structure where we need to
adjust it based on the google classroom view he has given to us.
on the self directed meeting, Mr. Fauzi explains again briefly about the
double exposure project and how we can take inspiration from pinterest,
also about the color theory that is various
Tutorial
Practical
we got two activities to do for this week double exposure assignments. first we need to do an exercise following a tutorial that are given by Mr. Fauzi. First i have to download the pictures from the google drive. Then, place it on Photoshop. I Compile every progress into one time lapse including the part where i did my own Double Exposure Picture

My Own Double Exposure
I also choose this picture because its a memorable moments where I feel like I live in a fairy tale. where theres a lot of flowers in purple and pink and I'm a fairy. I did a lot of effort trying to put the hanging flowers into the double exposure because i love it Too much but i feel like its just wouldn't be enough.

while making the second attempt, I tried to find a way to make my shilouette pop out because it looks blend in. at the end i duplicate my shilouette and color it black, blur it a little and adjust the opacity.

I did some evaluation on it and look into more double exposure reference and felt like shadow are actually unnecessary so I remove the Shadow and Lower the background Opacity. for the last touch, I add a purple and yellow gradient and finished it
after i got approved for the picture by Mr. Fauzi, I Finalize the work and Export it into jpg.

Reflections
Experience
While doing this exercise, i got new experience like doing this design concept that I don't do that much often. And how it took me so much effort to find. a good picture really shows how important environment, position and composition is.
Observations
after so much observation, I see that double exposure are mostly A Design that only uses one picture and make it as one.The works that I found in Pinterest are really creative and simple. its amazing how the designer managed to combine 2 pictures into 1 as if its a ambiguous image.
Findings
I Found out that I could just remove white background pictures by using hard light or multiply blending mode. I didn't know it could do that even after using blending mode for years on my iPad. knowing this made my working progress a little bit easier.
